The Founders of Uniondale Community Council and the subsequent dedicated teams of Directors have a dream. It is simply this:
We want every youth in Uniondale to grow up in an atmosphere which nourishes their favorable development, where every senior citizen feels secure, where every homeowner is certain they made a wise decision and where every businessperson benefits from a thriving, prosperous community.
MAJOR GOALS:
*Providing youth services
*Fostering and maintaining good neighborly relations within the community

*Encouraging jointly-planned strategic community development
*Developing family workshops
*Tutoring for and with the young
*Assisting young and older residents in finding jobs in the community

UCC has a new fundraising opportunity - The Power Mall, over 1000 stores, including Macys and Home Depot. UCC General Meetings are normally held the third Monday of every month in the downstairs meeting room of the Uniondale Public Library, exceptions are in January and February when it is held on the fourth Monday. The next two meetings are on June 16 and July 21, 2008

Uniondale Community Council, Inc. operates a multi-service youth project, serving the children, youth and families of Uniondale School District. Services provided are: middle school after-school programs (T.A.S.K.S) at both middle schools, basketball, workshops, teen social nights, crisis intervention, information and referral, a full day elementary summer camp and teen summer program and a violence prevention program, including a summer van outreach program with a community youth summer basketball program.
