Uniondale Community Council Youth Project, in cooperation with Uniondale School District, provides after-school activities for Uniondale's 6th, 7th and 8th graders at Lawrence Road Middle School
The program at Lawrence Road is open from 3:10 PM to 6:30 PM, Monday thru Friday thru the school year.
The program is closed when schools are closed.
This program allows time for students to participate in school extra-curricular activities ie. sports and learning/homework centers.
Program activities offered are:
Photography and video projects,
Recreational Sports,
Computer projects, games and keyboarding,
An area for groups to build and make things, play board games,
or do their school group projects,
An environmental science group, Art,
Special curriculums ie. Peacemakers
and an area for quiet study or rest.
The day begins with arrival at "The Meeting Place"
where announcements, time for socialization,
and snacks are provided and then
the children go to the various activities.
Registration is on-going, until full.
